A warp knitting machine is a knitting machine that weaves warp yarns arranged in parallel into a warp knitted fabric.
The warp knitting machine appeared earlier. In 1775, the British J. Klein invented the first single-bar crochet warp knitting machine. There are many types of warp knitting machines. According to the structural characteristics, there are two major types of tricots and raschels.
On the Tricot warp knitting machine, the angle between the fabric drawn by the needle and the plane of the needle bar is about 115°, and the fabric is pulled together by the sinker and the pulling roller, so that the newly formed coil is turned to the back of the needle and is separated from the knitting area. . This type of warp knitting machine generally uses crochet or slot needles, and has a higher machine number and machine speed. On the Raschel warp knitting machine, the angle between the fabric take-up direction and the needle bar plane is above 140°, and the fabric is pulled only by the pulling roller. The raschel warp knitting machine generally uses a latch needle or a slot needle, and has a low machine number and a low speed. It is suitable for warp knitted fabrics with a complicated structure and a complex pattern. There are also some special types of warp knitting machines.
The main loop forming parts of the warp knitting machine are knitting needles, yarn guiding needles, sinkers and pressure plates (for crochet machines). The needles are placed on the needle bed in a row and move along with the needle bed. The yarn guide needle is mounted on the strip to form a bar. The warp yarn passes through the eyelet of the yarn guiding needle, moves around the needle with the bar, and is woven into the fabric by the mutual cooperation movement of the knitting machine, the sinker and the like.
The warp knitting machine is mainly composed of a weaving mechanism, a bar traverse mechanism, a let-off mechanism, a pulling take-up mechanism and a transmission mechanism.
1.The knitting mechanism comprises a needle bed, a bar, a sinker bed and a pressure plate, which are generally driven by a cam or an eccentric link. Cams are often used in warp knitting machines with lower speeds and more complex motion laws. The eccentric connecting rod is widely used in high-speed warp knitting machines because of its smooth transmission, simple processing, and low wear and noise during high-speed operation.
2.The bar traverse mechanism allows the bar to be traversed according to the requirements of the knitted fabric during the loop forming process, and the warp yarn is placed on the needle to be woven into a knitted fabric having a certain structure. There are usually two types of flower plate type and cam type. The flower plate type mechanism is connected into the flower plate chain by the flower plate of a certain shape and size according to the requirements of the knitted fabric, so that the bar is traversed, which is suitable for the structure with relatively complicated weaving pattern, and the flower pattern change is convenient. In the cam type mechanism, the cam is designed according to the required traverse rule of the knitted fabric, and the transmission is relatively stable.
